What you need to know
WHO NEEDS A PARKING PASS?
Any MC student who parks on campus must purchase a parking decal at the beginning of each year. All parking spaces have numbers and every student’s parking space number will match their student ID and decal #. This is done for the safety of our students and faculty and will allow administrators to quickly identify vehicles parked on campus daily.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?
Parking Passes are $35 (Required).
WHEN WILL THE WEBSITE OPEN TO JOIN THE PTO AND PURCHASE MY PASS ONLINE?
ONLINE WITH CREDIT CARD
June 12 – June 23 - The PTO website will be open to join the PTO and purchase your pass online.
WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO SELECT MY SPOT ONCE I JOIN THE PTO ONLINE?
July 10 - Seniors who have purchased any level of PTO membership & pass (Front Lot Only) will pick their spot online through Eventbrite
July 12 - Juniors who have purchased any level of PTO membership & pass (Back Lot Only) will pick their spot online through Eventbrite
July 14 - Sophomores who have purchased any level of PTO membership & pass (Back Lot Only) will pick their spot online through Eventbrite
DO I HAVE TO JOIN THE PTO?
No, PTO membership is not a requirement to purchase a parking pass. If you are not joining the PTO, you will be able to purchase your decal from the front office beginning on August 3. Any student who wishes to purchase a parking pass only and not join the PTO will be assigned the next available spot.
WHAT IF I WON’T NEED PARKING, CAN I STILL JOIN THE PTO ONLINE?
Yes, you can purchase PTO membership through the PTO website June 12-23.
I WON’T NEED PARKING UNTIL LATER IN THE YEAR, WHAT DO I DO?
You will be able to purchase your pass anytime during the year through the front office and there is no difference in price; however, if you go ahead and join during the online selection process you will be able to choose your spot beginning July 10.
WHAT ABOUT STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL/MEDICAL NEEDS?
MC has made special accommodations by providing parking spaces close to the school and those spaces will not be open to the other students.
ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
- The school administration will be monitoring the parking lot to ensure that all students are parked in their assigned spot. If a student is parked in a spot that is not theirs, they will receive an office referral that could include both disciplinary actions as well as a loss of exemption privileges.
- PTO memberships and parking are a fundraiser for our school. There are no other PTO fundraisers during the year. Funds collected from the sale of parking permits and PTO memberships generate the financial support for our students and teachers that the PTO has provided and will continue to provide each year.
- When parking selection opens, it is best to use a computer and not your iPhone or Android app. We have had some issues with those apps in the past few years.
